SCRUMPCIOUS HOLIDAY DOG TREAT IDEAS AND RECIPES

Dogs love the holidays just as much as we do. This is typically because of the treats associated with this time of year, so we have put together a list of holiday treats and goodies that are easy to make or readily available at one of our Allpets Emporium locations. All of the treats we have listed are not only healthy for your doggy but super delicious and guaranteed to get your pooches tail wagging a million miles an hour. Holiday Dog Nog Recipe

DOG NOG

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Servings: 6 Cups

Ingredients

  • 14 oz - Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 4 oz - Organic Baby Food
  • 1 tbs - Organic Peanut Butter
  • 1/4 Cup - Water
  • 1/4 Cup - Primal Goats Milk
  • 2 - Eggs

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Serving Cups or Bowls

Instructions

  1. Add all of the ingredients into blender.
  2. Gently blend until the ingredients are completely combined and the mixture thickens.
  3. Serve in a cup, dish or bowl.
  4. Garnish with a healthy treat and bon appetit!

Notes

  • This recipe is easy to save for later. Simply place into a container or plastic bag and freeze.
  • Feel free to try different flavors of baby food.
  • We used a Red Barn Bully Stick in place of a cinnamon stick and ground dry dog food as garnishes.
Holiday Dog Mint Cookies Recipe

CRUNCHY CHRISTMAS TREEATS

Total Time: 50 minutes

Cook Time: 30-35 minutes

Prep Time: 10-15 minutes

Servings: 12

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Cups - Organic Whole Wheat Flour
  • 3/4 Cups - Primal Goats Milk
  • 3 tbs - Peanut Oil
  • 2 tbs - Chopped Fresh Mint Leaves
  • 2 tbs - Wheat Germ
  • 1 tbs - Brewers Yeast
  • 1 tbs - Honey
  • 1 - Egg

Equipment

  • Mixer (Recommended)
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Large Mixing Spoon
  • Rolling Pin
  • Cookie Cutter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Combine milk, egg, honey, oil, and mint in large mixing bowl.
  3. Start mixing combination until all of the ingredients are throughly mixed together.
  4. Slowly add wheat flour to mix until dough starts to form.
  5. Remove dough from bowl and place on wheat floured surface.
  6. Roll out dough to a consistent 3/8 - 1/2 inch thickness.
  7. Use selected cookie cutters to create desired shapes.
  8. Place biscuits on ungreased cookie sheet.
  9. Put cookie sheet in 300 degree oven for 30-35 minutes.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool for at least an hour.
  11. Now serve and watch your friend enjoy their new delicious minty treat!

Notes

  • If you want to make them fancy you can add carob chip drizzle as decoration.
Delicious Bacon Bark Dog Treat Recipe

BACON BARK

Total Time: 35 minutes

Cook Time: 12-15 minutes

Prep Time: 15-20 minutes

Servings: 12

Ingredients

  • 3 - Slices of Diced Bacon Cooked & Drained
  • 1/3 Cup - Organic Peanut Butter
  • 3 tbs - Water
  • 3 tbs - Peanut Oil
  • 1 tbs - Maple Syrup
  • 1 Cup - Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 Cup - Wheat Germ
  • 1 - Egg

Equipment

  • Mixer (Recommended)
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Large Mixing Spoon
  • Rolling Pin
  • Cookie Cutter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Combine egg, maple syrup, peanut oil, and water in large mixing bowl.
  3. Start mixing combination until all of the ingredients are throughly mixed together.
  4. Slowly add wheat flour and bacon pieces to mix until dough starts to form.
  5. Add small amounts of additional oil if mixture is too dry.
  6. Remove dough from bowl and place on wheat floured surface.
  7. Roll out dough to a consistent 1/4 inch thickness.
  8. Use selected cookie cutters to create desired shapes.
  9. Place biscuits on ungreased cookie sheet.
  10. Put cookie sheet in 300 degree oven for 12-15 minutes.
  11. Remove from oven and let cool for at least an hour.
